Been Awhile

It's been awhile since I've been there, and it has been an eventful couple years. My job was eliminated, but I was hired into a department that then split into to two. There are two of us. Two. Managing a few hundred accounts. It's been a trip and an adjustment. There was essentially no job description in what was a pretty new direction - we've winged it, and frankly I think we've done OK & somewhere along the way we've found a pace. I would challenge anyone else to accomplish the same.
We just recently moved our Pharmacy into a new building (out of the basement of our building - they actually like each other again), & expanded our licensing. That part is not my job necessarily, but keeping the bigger train on the tracks is. That's had its challenges as we've literally dissolved a department and changed the direction by creating another. It's been fun
But I haven't had time to get out and about and my car has an issue with something.. not the engine. I bought a new camera upgrading to a dSLR, that I'm hoping I can get up in the mountains this summer with. My roaming has now taken me far enough away I can't really get one in on a day trip, much less two on a weekend. I'm now having to look at weekend trips. This means boarding for Jakey...because he doesn't like the forest and the smells.
Learning the dSLR has been...a challenge. And monumentally frustrating. I'm really not the type to read stuff and voila! I have it. I'm just show me how to do this and I'll figure the rest out type. In fact I got to a point that I hated it. Looking at old pictures I realized I was putting too much thought into all the 'rules' & missing the shot. The forest and trees thing. But I still refuse to just put it on auto - that's not why I bought it. But still...I wish someone would just take me with and show me how to. Still love old buildings when I find them

Had 3 grandkids in a year- well almost..the third is due the beginning of April. That will be three in 15 months. Two boys and a girl. That makes five...that seems surreal. Like officially grandmotherish.

Now just getting through the winter and looking forward to summer

Yep, that project is still puttering along, way behind schedule. I need a trust fund, so I can just take pictures full time!
